Today we woke up early to go see Sandro Botticelli at the Galleria degli Uffizi. While waiting in line for an hour and a half we studied Italian, French, and Spanish. After being inspired we planned language parties for ourselves and anyone cool enough to join us in Boston. Once inside, we saw many wonderful things. We arrived at the exit and realized we had somehow missed the Botticellis. We had to backtrack through the whole maze of masterpieces to see The Birth of Venus at the beginning. We know the musei by heart now!

Happy Campers

So we are "roughing it" a bit at Camping Michelangelo in Firenze, Italia. The view is amazing as we can see the whole city from the resturant's terrace. Today we walked across the Ponte Vecchio to the Duomo. We found an amazing little paper and hand-crafted book shop. The owner let us peek back into his studio where he creates marble dies paper. When we got back to our tent we needed to take showers again just to cool off from the heat.

It was so nice spending time with Steven, Brian, Thomas, and Sarah this week. We will never forget our time here.

Lost Key!

After spending a lovely day at the beach, the group realized that the keys were missing. Steven checked his pocket after coming back from a swim, but they were not there! The search team headed in to the sea with their goggles and high hopes. With no luck we all came up with a plan B; we would scale the chateau walls. After Steven and Thomas tried to hoist Kristen up to the window, we decided we needed a ladder. Once the ladder arrived it was not long before Kristen shimmied up and let everyone else in.
